iPhone 15 Rumors: Storage Capacity

Preparations are underway at Apple for the launch of the iPhone 15 series, and we find ourselves approximately two months away from the predicted formal declaration in September 2023. An abundance of leaks and speculations have surfaced, shedding light on numerous details about the upcoming iPhones.

The base model of the iPhone 15 series will be the cost-effective 6.1-inch iPhone 15, equipped with a dual-camera setup on the rear. Following that is the more sizable 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus, featuring a larger battery capacity yet maintaining the dual-camera system. The premium tier begins with the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, which will boast a new processor and a triple-camera setup. Lastly, the lineup's flagship will be the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which will pioneer the integration of a periscope-style telephoto camera in an iPhone for the first time.

A significant update is the shift to a USB-C connector across all four models, phasing out the Lightning port that Apple has utilized for almost ten years. Furthermore, the Dynamic Island, once exclusive to the Pro variants, is expected to be available on all iPhone 15 models.

Historically, Apple has consistently provided a baseline of 128GB of storage across all iPhone models, but this could be set to change with the introduction of the iPhone 15 series.

Based on various leaks and speculations, we have compiled the following anticipated storage configurations for each iPhone 15 model. Although the standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models are still predicted to offer a basic 128GB version, it is suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max may start with a minimum of 256GB internal storage, essentially doubling their previous storage capacity.

iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are to have 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB in storage capacity whereas iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are expected to have 256GB, 512GB, and 1T.
